Horseback riding is a major activity at our lodge, but it is not the only summer adventure available in this area. Trout fishing is very good on the Logan River and on Beaver Creek, just minutes from the lodge. Fly fishermen coax large cutthroat and brown trout out of the Logan's pristine waters. Nearby Bear Lake also offers good fishing. Its deep, clear waters hold trophy lake trout and cutthroat trout, along with the unique Bonneville cisco, which is found nowhere else in the world. Boating, sailing and other water sports are popular summer activities at Bear Lake, which has beautiful turquoise water reminiscent of the Caribbean. Hiking and biking trails extend in all directions, right from our lodge. In a state famous for mountain biking, the trails in our area are some of Utah's last unspoiled treasures. The extensive Great Western Trail system crosses through our area. |
